Mother’s Day Ideas… in Zimbabwe.

Mother’s Day is in 4 days, and while I was scrambling, trying to figure out what to get my mother for this year, I came across this gem on Twitter:

To say I laughed is an understatement… I cackled, then I guffawed, even chortled a little bit! I am even going to add a gif for you to see how much cackling and guffawing happened:

Cleaning products guys… cleaning products!!

Don’t do this. Mother’s day comes but once a year, and cleaning products are bought regularly… pardon me while I continue cackling…

Okay, I’m back. So to save you from the above, here are a few ideas for Mother’s Day and where you can go. There are so many specials happening, that I only chose a few examples of each gift to give you an idea of who to go to.

1. Spa Day

Check out this post to get the addresses and contact numbers for the places below. If you’re out of Harare, this one will help you out.

These are just a few ideas for your mother on Mother’s Day. If you are a mother, you can send not-so subtle hints as well. Above all, just get your mother what she likes. No two mothers are the same. Some love the glitter and lace, soft fabrics and flowers. Some love quad-biking, paintballing, and boxing gloves. Some love both. Never box her. Observe her, know her, and make the day count knowing you gave her something personal that cuts through the usual to the unique, just as she is.

What are you getting your mothers? If you are a mom, what would you like for Mother’s Day. I personally am looking forward to watching Avengers: Infinity War, with my own bucket of large popcorn, a slushie and a slice of caramel cake from Classic Desserts (if I’m caught trying to smuggle it in, I know one of you would’ve sold me out). Enjoy your day with your mothers everyone!

Until next time… your Quarter Wife.
